TV Ads for Burma and Casting KC

Well I spent a big chunk of the day making TV ads for Casting KC. We are hoping we can afford to put Casting KC ads on TV so everyone can know that we are expanding the Steve and Kathy Show to include some of the best talent in KC. I know it is a good idea, but still, what if we don't find any real talented people. Oh well, can't even think about that now.

Reverends in the Headlines

The only thing I can get on the news channels today is news about one presidential candidate and his ex-pastor. It's not unusual for reverends to be in the headlines. Really, it's kind of cool to see just how "newsy" ministers have become. I don't know if you caught it or not, but one famous female evangelist was the star of divorce court for two days last week. We certainly are making noise these days. Wouldn't it be great to have a reverend in the news for more than politics or tabloid gossip. I don't think it is wrong for our religious leaders to be involved in politics.

Is America ready for a faith-based network program?

Is America ready for a faith-based network program? Do you believe that NBC, FOX or HBO would air a faith-based program? The answer is simple. All of the networks know that today's Christian has money and will spend it on good entertainment with a spiritual twist. The answer is a big yes. This creates two problems. The first of course is, someone has to come up with the program. The New Steve and Kathy Show is working to become that program. Interest is high in Hollywood, but the hurdles are even higher. That is why we are expanding our cast to include some of Kansas City's greatest talent.

Expanding the Steve and Kathy Show Cast

Everything is buzzing here at The Steve and Kathy Show. In a quick and bold
move, well I think it was bold, we have decided to expand the cast of the
show to include hopefully some of our cities best up and coming talent. We
will be auditioning actors, writers, comedians, musicians and singers. The
opportunity and interest in America's first faith-based variety show continues to
grow. Our goal is to upgrade the show to a higher level by inviting others
to become "regulars' on the show. The only way I see this venture failing is

Spring Has Arrived

We trust spring has finally arrived and like fresh flowers in the yard, we at the Steve and Kathy show are eager for fresh wisdom. Our current shows will soon be in "replay" or "re-run" mode. That gives all of us a chance to re-think the show, decide what we did right and change the rest. The doors to the world are virtually standing open wide for us, but will close quickly if we enter without God's wisdom. So, no telling what will happen. The show and the message may get an entire overhaul. God's will told God's way is all that matters to me. So, tis the season to think fresh.

The Church Needs a Lifestyle Change

Today begins the Anointed To Heal conference at World Revival Church. Most Christians believe that healing is possible, but not very probable. Who can argue with that? I would say they are right. But I would disagree with many of them as to the reason. The body of Christ itself is sick by feasting on its main course of selfishness, worldliness and hypocrisy. It cannot in its present condition bring about the much needed presence of God. The entire church needs a lifestyle change. Any doctor will tell you that most heart attacks, still a leading killer, can be prevented with a major

Governor of NY Stepping Down

Well it seems morality is back in the news again as the governor of NY state steps aside in the midst of scandal. Actually, my guess is that it really has to do with hypocrisy. We in the church cannot be too quick to judge. Many of our own have been eager to expose the sins of others, only to be found doing the same thing. I think it takes a gift from God to be a person that actually stands for something while at the same time understanding the frailty of humanity and ready with a big dose of mercy.

Religion Needs an Overhaul

I am convinced that the current religious system in America needs an overhaul. Unfortunately, there are others that believe it too, but are taking us down the path of "whatever seems right to you" kind of religion. It is like inventing a personal religion with each one of us as the godhead. This kind of approach to fixing the problem isn't safe. So, what is the safe way?

Back From California, and You'll Never Guess

Well, Kathy and I just returned from a whirlwind trip to California. Things look good for the book. I was offered a contract. So our attorneys will be talking to their attorneys etc. There is still a lot of talk about the TV show. Most everyone agrees that the time is right for the world to see a show like the Steve and Kathy Show, but everyone is still just flat scared to try and put it all together. Please pray for God's will to be done. OK, are you ready??? I was asked to be a guest on the national Playboy radio channel. Actually, I was asked and I already did it...

In LA

I am currently in LA getting ready to do a popular TV show that airs here in California and New York. I am doing it mostly for practice and to make me more prepared to speak to the "secular" community that the presence of God is available to everyone. It is kind of a different world out here, but then again people seem really open to a fresh message. They really do want to connect with God but don't know how and have already come to the conclusion that God doesn't want to connect with them. I am watching carefully how these people handle me. So far so good.

Talk soon, P. Steve
