It Must Be a New Year
Well, I can tell a new year has begun, American Idol is back on. This is the only TV show that I have ever seen Kathy watch. I mean it, she never watches TV. The problem is, she is supposed to be locked up with the Lord, her bible, computer and working on a new book. So, I thought, since this is the only show she watches all year, I would let her out for a few minutes to listen to a few bad singers. Actually, she is really enjoying every moment of her quiet time. I am really expecting her to ask me to extend it a few days.
Politics has never been a favorite subject of mine. There is just too much arguing for my taste. However, I have agreed to make some statements about religion and politics during this election year. It is hard for me to get excited about the upcoming election when I don't think anything will change much either way. So, I have been studying the candidates and practicing saying witty meaningful comments.
I really want to get the hard bound edition of "My Absurd Religion" to the printer tomorrow or the next day. If so, I should have it available in a few weeks time.
Talk soon,
P. Steve
CJAD Show
Tuned into the CJAD show tonight... I thought you did a really great job of presenting the message of the necessity of reform within religion while refusing to be drawn into petty bickering and "my dog's bigger than your dog" sorts of arguing (what, was he actually wanting you to present a figure for the number of times you've read the old testament???).
This message is big and it's vital and I just want you to know that we are standing with you. We pray continuously for your protection and for the integrity of this mission. You are doing Life Changing work. Thank You!!!
